TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE

In Ecclesiastes 4 Solomon is talking about relationships and how we depend on one another when working towards a greater goal.   According to Pastor Warren Wiersbe, “Two are certainly better than one when it comes to working  because two workers can get more done. Even when they divide the profits, they still get a better return for their efforts than if they had worked alone. Also, it’s much easier to do difficult jobs together because one can be an encouragement to the other.”

What has to happen for two to be better than one?

1. WE MUST BE ON ONE ACCORD – Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
2. WE MUST HAVE ONE AGENDA – In Nehemiah, the rebuilding of the wall surrounding Jerusalem was completed in spite of opposition, because the people had one agenda and a mind to work.   Nehemiah 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
3. WE MUST HAVE ONE ALLEGIANCE – Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.   As Christians, we must remember that our allegiance is to Jesus Christ in whatever we do.
We must cherish each relationship we have because each of us was created by God and have been crowned with glory and honor (Psalm 8)
